WV Living magazine will honor its fifth-annual group of Wonder Women with a luncheon at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West in South Charleston on Monday, Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m.

In celebration of West Virginia’s 155th birthday, New South Media editor and publisher Nikki Bowman has announced she will close the magazines’ offices on West Virginia Day, Wednesday, June 20. But employees won’t be spending the day at home.

Folio: announced its 2015 list of Top Women in Media, honoring for the first time a West Virginia business owner, Nikki Bowman, founder of New South Media. This annual program celebrates the creativity, innovation, and accomplishments of women in the magazine media industry-despite the daily hurdles they may face.

Preservation Alliance of West Virginia gives Nikki Bowman and New South Media their 2013 WV Media Award for her dedication to the ongoing conservation and the dissemination of West Virginia’s culture, as well as the promotion of West Virginia’s heritage tourism sites and businesses through multiple magazine publications.
